Physical prototype

Patricia on XLeRobot 0.3

A deliberately practical first embodiment for integrating mobility, sensing and Patricia’s agent software.

Demonstrated

Role in Patricia

Make the software physical without waiting for a perfect body.

The XLeRobot prototype uses an inexpensive mobile base and an IKEA shelving body. That gives the team space for sensors, batteries and computers while keeping changes quick and visible.

Its purpose is evidence: navigation, localisation, perception, remote control and Patricia’s procedures can be tested together in the real world.

What this project tests

Questions before claims.

  • End-to-end interaction on a moving platform
  • Navigation and localisation in ordinary rooms
  • Sensor and agent-state integration
  • Recovery, stopping and human handover
  • How much useful behaviour can be tested cheaply

Next work

What moves it forward.

  • Record the first complete public demonstration
  • Improve navigation reliability and obstacle handling
  • Connect more Patricia procedures to physical actions
  • Document results and limitations
  • Transfer proven components to Bumi
